Know That the Lord, He is God!

Psalm 100

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!

Serve the Lord with gladness - Come before His presence with singing.

Know that the Lord, He is God

It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves

We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting,

And His truth endures to all generations.

What joy filled, explosive praise!  I would love to have the original music and heard the first choir who sang this passion and praise.  There is so much to unpack in this psalm of thanksgiving, so much to learn. Such an insight on how to consider the God we worship.

1.  Shout, celebrate, make a noise!  Raise the roof!  God is great!

2.  Serve the Lord with GLADNESS!

If you find your service to the Lord to be routine or a burden, then you are probably serving from a position which has been dulled to the reality of God’s HOLINESS.  Holy means SET APART -  WHOLLY DIFFERENT – NON DESCRIBABLE – for it is UNLIKE ANYTHING ELSE, EVER AND FOR ALWAYS!  Consider the heavenly hosts who are continually around the throne and their outbursts are HOLY…HOLY ... HOLY.  Every time their eyes fall on God they see another powerful and wholly different aspect of GOD and they shout HOLY.  They hide their eyes only to be drawn to his HOLY beauty and cry out HOLY!  Serve the Lord with GLADNESS!

3.  A proper response to God are joy filled new expressions!

4.  We acknowledge the truth and the truth is that HE IS GOOD!

5.  We see all HE has done and we bless Him!

6.  To go to HIS house with praise it to align ourselves with this spiritual truth:  God is King of kings.

Our lips are the spigot which overflow the burning truth welling up from our heart.  If we gather in a building or when we are at home, prison or in a pit, hospital or hotel…make your praise like that of Paul and Silas or like Miriam standing at the threshold of her delivered destiny.  Circumstances and uncertainty can NOT limit the KING of kings no should they limit the expression of a son or daughter of the King of kings! PRAISE seeps from within!  Praise is the fervent expression of gratitude and the dwelling place of God!

7.  HIS MERCY!  That’s enough yet the promise of the King of grace extends to our families, our homes, our children, our children’s children. God is not done with us!

I WILL see you Sunday with a song in my heart!  - Hallelujah!
