What To Expect

What to Expect

Whether you're exploring Christianity for the first time, looking for a church home, or simply visiting with family or friends, we're glad you're considering North Run Baptist Church. Our prayer is that everyone who walks through our doors experiences the truth of God's Word, the love of Christ's people, and the hope found in the gospel.

Christ-Centered, Bible-Driven Preaching

The preaching of God's Word is at the heart of our worship. We believe the Bible is God's inspired and sufficient Word, and that it speaks with truth and clarity every generation and all people. Because of this, our pastors typically preach through books of the Bible verse by verse, helping us understand each passage in its context and apply it to everyday life. Our goal isn't to entertain or share personal opinions, but to faithfully proclaim Jesus Christ through all of Scripture and encourage believers to grow in their faith.

Reverent and Joyful Worship

Our worship is shaped by Scripture and centered on God. Through Bible reading, prayer, congregational singing, and the preaching of God's Word, we gather to glorify Him and encourage one another. We seek to worship with both reverence and joy, recognizing our complete dependence on the Lord to work through every gathering.

A Welcoming Church Family

Following Jesus was never meant to be lived alone. Our church is made up of people from many backgrounds and life stages who have been brought together by God's grace. Whether you're new to church or have followed Christ for many years, you'll find friendly people, genuine conversations, and a church family that would love to get to know you.

Children Are Welcome

Families are a treasured part of our church, and we want parents to feel confident leaving their children in our care. Our children's ministry provides a safe, caring, and well-organized environment where children learn about God in age-appropriate ways. Every volunteer is carefully screened and trained to serve with excellence.

If you'd like to see the classrooms before the service or have questions about our children's ministry, we'd be happy to help. Simply speak with someone on our Welcome Team when you arrive or contact our Children's Ministry Director before your visit.

Come As You Are

You'll see people dressed in everything from jeans to business attire. Whether you've attended church your whole life or you're walking into one for the very first time - or in a long time … you'll find people from all kinds of backgrounds and those who are new in their faith journey and others who have been with us for decades.

We'd Love to Meet You

If you're visiting for the first time, we'd love to meet you after the service. Stop by our Welcome Area, where we'd be happy to answer your questions, help you get connected, or simply say hello. We pray your visit is an encouragement and that, above all, you'll come to know the grace and truth found in Jesus Christ.
